A Defesa Civil tranquilizou a popula��o ao dizer que as outras 34 minas que a Braskem mantinha para extra��o de sal-gema na capital n�o correm risco de colapsar.
No entanto, segue o alerta para que as pessoas n�o circulem pela �rea onde est� localizada a mina 18, no Mutange.

A Defesa Civil de Macei� reduziu de "alerta m�ximo" para "alerta" o risco de colapso na mina da Braskem localizada no bairro do Mutange. A mudan�a no status foi feita no in�cio da tarde desta ter�a-feira (5), horas ap�s a divulga��o de que a velocidade do afundamento do solo no local passou de 0,26cm/h para 0,27 cm/h.
Em postagem nas redes sociais, o prefeito JHC (PL) disse que na pr�tica, Macei� saiu de um risco iminente de colapso para um est�gio menor de gravidade, mas que ainda requer aten��o.
Desde o dia 30 de novembro, o solo j� cedeu 1,86 m, sendo de 6,5 cm nas �ltimas 24 horas. A velocidade da movimenta��o vinha em constante redu��o desde que as medi��es come�aram, no dia 30 de novembro, mas a tend�ncia de desacelera��o foi interrompida por duas altas seguidas, cada uma de 0,01 cm/h.
Ainda assim, a Defesa Civil considerou que essa varia��o n�o era suficiente para manter o alerta m�ximo vigente, e que a redu��o desde a semana passada foi bastante significativa, indicando a possibilidade de estabiliza��o do solo sem que haja uma ruptura abrupta.
Por outro lado, as regras de seguran�a continuam as mesmas. A Defesa Civil pediu para que as pessoas n�o passem pela a �rea onde est� localizada a mina e refor�ou que as outras 34 minas que a empresa mantinha para extra��o de sal-gema na capital n�o correm risco de colapsar.
A mina n� 18 fica na regi�o do antigo campo do CSA, no Mutange.

A Defesa Civil avalia que n�o mais h� risco para a popula��o porque as moradias ocupadas atualmente est�o a uma dist�ncia segura do local da mina. As que ainda estavam ocupadas foram evacuadas sob ordem judicial.
O desabamento da mina pode acontecer de duas formas: dr�stica ou gradual. Em caso de cen�rio gradual, o deslocamento do solo seguir� de modo lento at� atingir a estabiliza��o. Se o cen�rio for desabamento repentino, ocorrer� o colapso e abertura de uma imensa cratera na regi�o.
Ap�s cinco anos desde que um tremor de terra abriu rachaduras em casas e crateras nas ruas, mais de 14 mil im�veis foram desocupados nos bairros do Mutange, Bebedouro, Pinheiro, Bom Parto e Farol. Afetando cerca de 60 mil pessoas.
Acordo bilion�rio com a prefeitura
A Braskem e a Prefeitura de Macei� firmaram acordo em julho deste ano no valor de R$ 1,7 bilh�o para compensar o afundamento do solo nos bairros, consequ�ncia da minera��o.
"O Termo de Acordo Global estabelece a indeniza��o, compensa��o e ressarcimento integral do munic�pio de Macei� em rela��o a todo e qualquer dano patrimonial e extrapatrimonial por ele suportado, e est� sujeito � homologa��o judicial", disse a empresa em comunicado feito aos acionistas.
A Prefeitura de Macei� afirmou que pretende utilizar o dinheiro para investir em obras na cidade, al�m de criar um "fundo de amparo" para auxiliar moradores dos bairros afetados por d�cadas de minera��o na regi�o.
Meses depois, em setembro, a Prefeitura anunciou a compra do Hospital do Cora��o, localizado no bairro Gruta de Lourdes, por R$ 266 milh�es, feita com recursos da negocia��o com a Braskem (veja mais informa��es no abaixo).
